Overload

An overload is when a student wishes to enroll in more than 19 credit hours in any semester. You might consider an overload if you are behind pace for meeting your degree requirements in 4 years or you wish to add a 4 credit hour internship, there are a variety of reasons why you might consider one.

In order to add an additional course, you must fill out and submit a Registration Change Form. The University Bulletin stipulates that you must have earned at least 32 credit hours and have a 2.7 GPA to be considered for an Overload. Your Academic Advisor and the Associate Provost must both give their approval before you will be given permission to register for the additional course in OASIS.

Note: If you enroll in more than 19 credit hours in a given semester, there is an additional fee for each credit hour which you can find in detail on the Tuition & Fees page.
