Drop

Dropping a Class

You can still add courses to your schedule up through the end of Add/Drop week which is typically the first week of classes; note that this week varies depending on whether the course is a 16-week course or an 8-week course. You should always drop a course through your OASIS Student Account; however, if you cannot for some reason (i.e. it’s a 2nd 8-week course), you should fill out the online Registration Change Form. First-semester students should consult their Academic Advisor for assistance in processing changes to their schedule.

A course that is “dropped” is removed from your schedule. Your record will not show that you were ever enrolled in the course and furthermore, the dropped course has no impact on your GPA or attempted hours for the semester. There is no charge for a course that is dropped.

Instructions for Dropping a Course Through OASIS

You can add a course online through your OASIS Student Account by selecting “Register for Sections” and then “Drop sections”. You will be redirected to the registration menu. Select the “Drop” box next to the course(s) you wish to drop and then press “Submit” at the bottom of the page. You should receive a receipt of your transaction afterward. If the system is unable to process your request because you have a hold, need the course as a prerequisite, etc., a message will appear in red at the top of your page and tell you. You cannot drop all your courses through your OASIS account.

Note: You should always confirm your registration by going to “My Class Schedule” on the OASIS main menu and verifying that all your courses are showing.
