Campus and Community Resources

We know that for any student the first few days of classes and orientation can be overwhelming with a multitude of facts, how tos, where tos, and locations of different campus resources. Below are some of the key offices that are here to facilitate your success. We strongly encourage you to utilize these resources throughout your academic career at Oglethorpe. Remember, you can do this and we’ll be right here with you every step of the way.

Academic Success

Academic Success provides Oglethorpe students with a wide range of services designed not only to address academic challenges but to help students set and achieve their academic goals. Some of the services provided in Academic Success are:

  • Academic Coaching and Advising
  • Comfortable Study Spaces

Career Development 

Career Development leverages Oglethorpe’s ideal location to offer students unbeatable opportunities to sample careers, explore areas of interest, build resumes, and develop professional networks that you will rely on throughout your career. From internships to career mentoring to practical advice about everything from resume writing to interview skills, Career Development is here to give you a clear picture of the future that is waiting beyond Oglethorpe’s gates.

Our Counseling Office provides services for all currently enrolled students at no cost. Some of the topics that students come to discuss are:

  • Relationship issues
  • Personal Growth
  • Low self-confidence
  • Eating disorders
  • Depression and anxiety
  • Controlling the use of alcohol and other drugs
  • Adjustment to college
  • Academic difficulties and career indecision

The Counseling Center is located in Goodman Hall between Hearst Hall and Traer.

The HUB for Enrollment Services is Oglethorpe’s one stop shop that helps students with their registration, records, financial aid, billing, and payments. Some of the services provided by the HUB include:

  • Help understanding your Financial Award Letter
  • How to Find More Scholarship Opportunities
  • Registering for Classes
  • Taking Classes Over the Summer
  • Ordering a Transcript
  • Help understanding your bill
  • And so much more!
